Taking a walking along the caminos de ronda trails on this coastal path along almost 1000m high cliffs is one of the most significant attractions of Begur and the Costa Brava. Historically speaking, these narrow walking tours were used as a safe passage for tobacco smugglers and fishermen for the area. Today we can also see some private houses with access to majestic private coves via stone steps. These paths are one of the reasons why thousands of tourists visits the Costa Brava each year.The Camí de Ronda is approximately 20 kilometres long in total, but it is divided into four sections along the coast,which we have summarised below.
